Founded in 2014, the Canadian Environment & Resources Council is a non-partisan research and policy organization dedicated to balancing economic vitality with ecological integrity.
Evidence over ideology
The Council exists to provide Canadians, policymakers, and industry with rigorous, independent analysis of the environmental and resource questions facing the country. We do not lobby and we do not take partisan positions. Our influence rests entirely on the quality of our research.
From freshwater stewardship to the energy transition, our fellows work across jurisdictions to ensure that policy reflects the best available evidence and the distinct realities of each province and territory.
